In accordance with our specially designed day tour to bentota, first you must visit the Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda where you can witness loads of protected sea turtle eggs, injured and rescued turtles including wide variety of marine turtles. The turtle conservation project in Kosgoda is developed to protect all kinds of turtles and their eggs to increase their hatchery rates. You can watch variety of turtle species that is mostly admired by nature lovers both locals & foreign tourists.
This is an insightful journey as it gives you an idea of how the lives of sea turtles goes. The members of this sea turtle conservation project are protect the unprotected eggs that lays on the beach by their mother turtles by patrolling the beach during every night. Stop at: Madu River, Balapitiya, Southern Province
Duration – 2 hours
You will proceed to make another superficially attractive encounter around the Madhu river which is located at Balapitiya. You can have a Madhu River Boat Safari and even you can have a fish Therapy right there. Madhu river recognised as the 2nd largest wetland in Sri Lanka. Experience a quality time by relaxing in the middle of a natural river that is filled with lush greenery. Meanwhile you can visit a beautiful temple on the Kothduwa Island that is located in the middle of the river.
